LMC Discussion paper on Somerset CCG and Primary Care Commissioning Practices have recently received documentation from the CCG regarding the option of a move to full delegation of commissioning, with feedback requested by September 30th. We have pointed out to the CCG that this gives practices very little time to discuss the implications, the LMC has produced a brief discussion paper outlining the main considerations, which can be found here
NHS Standard Hospital Contract Guidance and Template letters BMA’s GP committee has launched a suite of new resources for GPs aimed at helping them reduce unnecessary workload from secondary care providers after the failure of many NHS managers to introduce agreed changes to the standard contract. Full guidance and Templates
Electronic MED3 user guide We have been informed that these are no longer available via the Capita portal, it has been suggested that DWP could not provide the levels direct to Capita hubs, NHS England have stated they are following this up with DWP, as an interim solution practices can order direct from DWPs supplier, not ideal as via yet another online portal. Full guidance
Capita and performers list since the demise of the local contracts team LMCs are no longer receiving up to date information on GPs leaving and commencing work in Somerset, we have always kept an up to date database and would be grateful if Practice Managers could keep us informed until a solution is found, this is a national problem which the GPC are discussing with capita, if you do have time to complete this form and return to us that would be great, alternatively an e mail to LMCoffice@somersetlmc.nhs.uk stating any changes.
Kind Regards
Jill
