LARC Contract Practices will have now received their updated LARC contract. This has been negotiated with Somerset County Council and all the concerns raised we feel have been addressed. We are therefore happy to recommend that practices once they have read and understood the agreement to sign.
Capita LMCs have been inundated with reports on the unsatisfactory service delivered by Capita, these are fed back to the GPC on a fortnightly basis. Following the GPCs vote of no confidence in Capita Dr Chaand Nagpaul GPC Chairman has written to NHSE outlining the seriousness of the concerns asking for specific assurances and sanctions, as well as compensation for practices. BMJ Careers Somerset LMC Members Benefits Package The BMJ are offering an LMC package for Somerset practices to advertise in their publications, the media company for the campaign "General Practice in Somerset- Great Place great potential" are putting together a template for practices to use which will bring together the branding and link to the further information on being a GP in Somerset we will circulate this as soon as possible, would practices also please ensure that adverts are also posted on the LMC website.
