System Issue Affecting Correspondence from Yeovil Hospital (BigHand Dictation Software): Practices may be aware Yeovil Hospital have been experiencing an issue with BigHand, their digital dictation software at Yeovil Hospital since Friday 29 September. The issue remains unresolved, and they currently have a backlog of 3,500 undistributed letters, and prescription changes which are being reviewed and actioned by clinical/operational teams. Their digital team are working with the suppliers to fix the issue as a matter of urgency. Since their teams have been aware of this, they have been manually emailing urgent correspondence, and have asked practices to check your inboxes for any of these communications. In the meantime, if you have any process queries, please contact YDHCorrespondence@SomersetFT.nhs.uk. Please note they are unable to process clinical enquiries through this email address. For queries regarding individual patients please contact the relevant team.
Early Help Assessment Forms (EHA) – PLEASE HAVE YOUR SAY: Are you someone who has struggled with the EHA form? Do you think it works well? Would you like to see something that is more reflective of the needs of GPs? Well here is your chance to have your say. The Somerset LMC team are meeting with members of the Safeguarding team over the next few weeks. It would help greatly if as many of you as possible could share your views here - it just takes a few minutes.
RCGP Green Impact for Health Toolkit Survey - Somerset PCN - Closes 20th October: Last chance to complete! It takes 2 mins. Thank you to the 22 practices that have completed the survey so far. It has helped us get a partial view of the level of engagement there has been the toolkit. If you haven't completed the survey, please do so as it will really help us provide the best support possible for all practices. If you have any questions about the survey or the toolkit do please get in touch. Many thanks, Richard Podmore - Sustainability and Evaluation Lead, Frome Medical Practice. richard.podmore1@nhs.net.

Please book by 27th October via regionaltraininghubs.sw@hee.nhs.uk.
Harnessing your Strengths in Times of Uncertainty Workshop: Monday 8th January 2024 9.30am-12.00pm, online.
