n-Cov Further Clarification- Urgent

Date sent: Tuesday 11 February 2020

To all GPs and Practice Managers

Dear Colleagues,

Further to my email earlier today, can I clarify please that practices should not be directing patients themselves to the ED department. There is a pathway that needs to be followed and any patient in whom there is a suspicion for n-Cov infection should be told to call NHS 111 who will arrange the necessary testing and follow-up as appropriate.

Best Wishes

Nick
