SGPET/LMC EDUCATION NEWS/UPDATE BOARD
- Medico-Legal aspects of prescribing (including switching inhaler) 6th February 2024 presented by Beverley Bostock
- Mens Health Study Day, Wed 7th February , Places still available, see programme here
- Essential Management training session - 28th February - Designed for new Practice Managers, Deputies of those supporting the traditional Practice Manager role (Operational Managers, Finance Managers, Office Managers), to provide an overview of the role of the Practice Manager in terms of the contractual requirements and the finances.

Expressions of interest are now being accepted for the April cohort of the GP Assistants programme. There are currently 50 places available for the South West region. We are waiting further news as to whether this number will be increased, due to previous high demand.
Should the numbers again be greater than the number of places available, priority criteria will be applied as was used in January. The criteria included:
-On the NHS England waiting list (from previous round of applications)
-Candidates have already started to gather evidence
-Date of application
-Working in an ARRS funded role
Expressions of interest can be submitted until 5.00pm on 29th February 2024 by following this link. Further details are included in the flyer here. Learners will be informed of the outcome during the week following.
