DO YOU SEE PATIENTS WITH UTIs? If so, the following is for you. IPAP-UTI is a £3m NIHR PGfAR funded 5-year programme of work which will deliver 3 randomised controlled trials in England. It is to help hoped that ultimately it will enable best choice antibiotic prescribing for treating UTIs and reduce Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). It will also help inform policy.
IPAP-UTI is led by University of Bristol researchers Dr Ashley Hammond and Prof Alastair Hay who are currently looking to establish a Professional Stakeholder Group and want to include non-research active GPs to join. The purpose of the group is to explore a variety of topics relating to the programme including intervention design and recruitment strategies. Regional Genomics Overview Session - Tuesday 5th December 2023 For anyone working in primary care there is an Introduction to Genomics in Primary Care on Tuesday 5th December 2023 at 9.30am - 12.30pm
The session will provide answers to these questions:
• What is genomics and how does it apply to you and your patients?
• What is the National Genomic Test Directory and what is available?
• Which genomic conditions might you see in primary care?
• What resources and support is available?
