NEW!! MENOPAUSE SUPPORT GROUP FOR PRESCRIBING CLINICIANS IN SOMERSET - These will be informal drop-in sessions where you can ask Dr Juliet Balfour any general questions about managing the perimenopause and menopause. Dr Balfour is a British Menopause Society recognised menopause specialist and trainer and runs the Somerset NHS Menopause Service. She is also on the BMS Medical Advisory Council. The first session is from 1.30 - 2.30pm on Thursday 27th July and will hopefully become a regular event to help you manage your menopausal patients (and your own symptoms if relevant). Improving Psychological Support and Transition into Adult Services for Diabetic Teenagers – Study: The women & children’s team at the ICB have been awarded funding to help improve access to psychological support for teenagers who have diabetes. The ICB have now commissioned ‘Tellmi’ to support these young people. The diabetes specific element of the app will be launching in October 2023.
The Tellmi app is available for any child or young person aged 11-25 living in Somerset, however their study is aimed at children and young people aged 11-25 living with diabetes. More information and where this App can be downloaded can be found in this flyer, which can be shared on digital platforms, in waiting rooms and anywhere else that you think might be appropriate.
