STH/LMC discrimination survey: Following on from the recent survey we want to remind you of the free offer of support for your teams in equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI) training. We all want to ensure that general practice feels safe and welcoming for all, both patients and workforce. Training offers from the ICB equality and inclusion team will gently encourage you as teams to think about how you can best achieve this. Please see the flyer for further information the ICB team can support you in a workshop meeting. If you would like to find out more about what the team offers please contact somicb.equality@nhs.net
Menopause support group for prescribing clinicians in Somerset: These are informal drop-in online sessions where you can ask Dr Juliet Balfour any general questions about managing the perimenopause and menopause. You can also discuss how best to support the menopausal women in your workplace if indicated.
Dr Balfour is a British Menopause Society recognised menopause specialist and trainer and runs the Somerset NHS Menopause Service. She is also on the BMS Medical Advisory Council.
The second session will be from 1.30 - 2.30pm on Thursday 10th August. Teams link can be found here.

PgCert/PgDip/MSc - Leading Clinical research - The MSc Leading Clinical Research Delivery at Exeter is one of only three NIHR-AoMRC funded, fully online programmes, developed in line with the NIHR-AoMRC Clinician Researcher Credentials Framework. It supports practising clinical professionals aspiring to work in the clinical research delivery workforce. You can find more details here
- Part bursaries (up to 50% of fees) are available to NHS / publicly funded healthcare professionals in England for September 2023 entry to the programme. Applications for bursaries are via the LCRD Expression of Interest form (submitted as part of your online application) by the deadline – Monday 31st July 2023. (All bursary applications received by the deadline will be informed of the decision via email by mid-September 2023.)
- Further funding has become available for bursaries of up to 100% of fees for the PGCert and PGDip stages of this award – New Applications for these bursaries are via the LCRD Expression of Interest form (submitted as part of your online application) by the new deadline – Monday 28th August 2023. (Applications already received are being considered for funding and applicants do not need to re-apply)
