GP Partnership Review
General practice is recognised as the foundation of and the front door to the NHS. Over 85% of doctor-patient contact occurs in general practice,1 ensuring the health and wellbeing of our communities. The Partnership Review was established because general practice and GP partners are facing major challenges. I accepted the role as independent chair of the review because I strongly believe that, despite the headline challenges of a rising workload and changing workforce, the partnership model is not dead. I have worked closely with and been supported by the General Practitioners Committee of the BMA, the Royal College of General Practice, the Department ofHealth and Social Care and NHS England
