GP2GP v2.2a – Filing of New Patient Records – for EMIS Practices

Updated on Wednesday, 30 August 2017, 2351 views

To reduce the amount of printing when a patient leaves the practice, the receiving practice should validate and file the record as soon as the patient has been registered.

Once the record has been filed by the receiving practice and the patient has been deducted, the sending practice will be notified when printing summary and attachments, what, and if any, need to be printed.

If the record remains unfiled for 3 days, the sending practice will have to print out the summary and all attachments, not just those that did not transfer.
