Message from Julia Bloomfield, Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Specialist, Somerset CCG - 'We have been made aware of an increase in acute respiratory infections in the Somerset locality and we thought it would be helpfully if we summarised the IP&C guidance, particularly around RSV for your information and guidance in primary care. I hope you find it useful for education purposes within your role as IP&C lead, please see the document here which can be cascaded to your staff in general practice. I will be hosting an IP&C meeting on the 7th July and will be talking about the IP&C precautions to minimise the transmission of acute respiratory infections in primary care.'
