TOHealth Allison Nation has advised the LMC that there are concerns regarding information Governance and the software upload which the CSU and CCG are looking into. Practices will have received a further contract from ToHealth in reply to the points raised by Adrian Poole of Porter Dodson. Whilst these do address a few of the concerns the contract remains an amber document under LMC classification. Practices will need to consider carefully whether they feel confident enough to sign this as it now stands and sign up to provide the service.
New LMC Website The new website has been launched today, however due to the caching within the NHS servers practices may not be able to see it for the next 24 hours. (you should be able to see it on your phone or out of the NHS network) It has been designed by Fourteen Fish who as many will know designed the MYLMC site for the MSFs. The guidance section holds a lot of information that is relevant to general practice and we have a lot more to add over the coming months , we have arranged it with topics and pages and tried to make the navigation as simple as possible, we would encourage practices to use the guidance search facility to make the best use of the site.
You do not have to create a log on to use the site but if you do you will be able to save documents in your own area, if you have already registered for MYLMC then your username and password will be the same for the Somerset site. Hopefully once you are able to see and use the site you will find it a useful, we are also having an App developed over the next few weeks. Somerset LMC
Legionella Risk Assessment for practices and the CQC We have been made aware that a company is contacting practices inviting practices to engage them to conduct a risk assessment for Legionella at the practice, while a risk assessment does need to be carried out this can be done for the majority of practices in house by the practice manager and further information is available in the CQC Myth buster
