Somerset Training Hub are delighted to announce a position for an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Training Hub Fellowship. This 12-month Fellowship, starting in autumn 2023, will provide an exciting opportunity for a motivated GP to develop their knowledge and skills in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion through leadership and education, alongside their existing clinical role. We welcome expressions of interest from all, encouraging those with lived experiences to apply also. It is essential that people expressing interest have familiarised themselves with the Equality Act 2010 .
The successful applicant will work with both the Somerset Training Hub and Integrated Care Board and Systems Inclusion Manager. The role will be for 8 hours per week for 12 months; leading projects to support staff from any diverse background / protected characteristic, working in primary care in Somerset. The role will include:
Develop and deliver training to improve EDI within the primary care workforce.
Create support and development opportunities for primary care staff from any diverse background / protected characteristic.
Improve access to existing support and development opportunities for those from any diverse background/protected characteristic.
Help support international workforce into primary care careers in Somerset.
The role will be mainly remote, and you will be mentored by the Integrated Care Board’s Diversity Lead. For further information or to express interest please contact somersetlmc.sth.office@nhs.net .
