Responsible to: Training Hub Clinical Director
Accountable to: Training Hub/LMC Executive Director

The postholder will work remotely and in the LMC offices.

Job summary

We are looking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic individual to oversee all training hub workstreams, funding allocations and manage its projects and programmes to support the delivery of the Somerset Training Hub Workforce Strategy and Delivery Plan.

The postholder will work closely with the Training Hub Clinical Lead, Programme Director and Nurse Advisor, as well as the wider training hub / LMC executive team. In addition, the programme manager will liaise with NHS England Health / Health Education England’s Primary Care Workforce Transformation Team and ICS Workforce Leads.

The post holder will have experience of change programmes and working at manager level with senior practitioners, managers and Directors. As well as demonstrating programme management skills, the individual will be expected to offer innovation and creativity to fully support project and programme outcomes. They will have strong personal credibility, excellent leadership and communication skills

The Programme Manager must demonstrate the ability to function competently both as a leader and member of a team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide comprehensive, high quality management roles, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and will be required to strengthen links with Primary Care Networks and their leads, supporting workforce development at network level to meet identified workforce and development needs.

The role is offered at 37 hours /full time, although there is room for some flexibility.

You will need to be able to work independently, managing changing demands and priorities and also be able to work effectively as part of a wider team, working collaboratively with partner organisations (Somerset Local Medical Committee (LMC), Somerset GP Education Trust (SGPET), Integrated Care Board teams (including the workforce development team and primary care team), practices and primary care networks (PCNs).
