Springmead Surgery cares for 6,000 patients in Chard and the beautiful surrounding south Somerset countryside. Close by are Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the spectacular Jurassic Coast.

We can now offer an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our close knit team and play a key role in our plans for our Urgent Care clinic
Job summary:
Your main role as the successful applicant will be to provide care for patients presenting with acute problems - including initial history taking, examination, diagnosis, and treatment, including prescribing.
While the role requires an experienced practitioner able to demonstrate the skills to effectively and autonomously assess and treat patients, all support will be provided by the practice in those areas where further development of your skills is required
The urgent care team team will also comprise a paramedic ECP, a GP registrar, and an on-call GP
At quieter times of year there will also be the opportunity to engage in non-acute care, for example dementia and learning disability reviews.
