Crewkerne Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join their Nursing Team. The Health Centre is a well established practice which joined the SHS team in July 2017. In July 2018 nearby West One Surgery joined SHS to become part of Crewkerne Health Centre as a second site. Our integrated team provides a wide range of services to around 13,000 patients across the two locations. The Practice is also part of the South Somerset West Primary Care Network.
Salary will be dependent on experience but NP salaries range from £18.44 per hour for a developing nurse practitioner to £26.35 per hour for a prescribing, fully competent NP with primary care experience and mentoring skills.
Job Summary
The post holder will be an experienced Nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patient care.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the ability to make differential diagnosis using decision making and problem solving skills whilst making professional autonomous decisions for which they are accountable. They will possess the ability to work independently and to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other health care professionals and disciplines, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. NMC requirements for advanced practice must be met.
The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to have a key role in contributing to the work of the South Somerset West Primary Care network.
Salary will be dependent on experience with additional remuneration for those that are prescribing, fully competent Nurse Practitioners with primary care experience and mentoring skills. Hours of work are 25 hours per week and we can also offer a range of flexible working options.
