084 Telephone Numbers

Updated on Thursday, 12 February 2015, 2010 views

Practices may use 084 numbers to help provide a good service to their patients, provided that the cost to their patients is guaranteed to be no more than a standard local call.

If your practice uses an 084 number you must demonstrate to the Area Team that these calls are guaranteed not to cost more. (This is best done in writing from your supplier.)   Practices must not enter into, renew or extend a contract or other arrangement for telephone services unless it is certain that calls will cost no more than the equivalent call to a geographical number
