Vaccine Update July 2015
Nimenrix in general export packaging is now available to order for the current school year 13s and older university entrants (19-24 years olds) ONLY.
An initial volume restriction is in place of 25 doses per customer per week. Please order alongside your normal childhood vaccine order where possible. Ordering for the 15/16 routine adolescent programme or for any of the other catch-up cohorts (current school year 10-12) is NOT YET OPEN. Separate patient information leaflets (PILs) will automatically be sent with your vaccine.
Due to the speed with which the MenACWY programme is being implemented, PHE will be holding less vaccine buffer stock than would usually be the case for a national programme. This increases the risk that ordering restrictions may be implemented for temporary periods, or vaccines may become temporarily unavailable for ordering, while we await further stocks to be delivered. For this reason, and because initial stocks may be relatively short dated, PLEASE DO NOT STOCKPILE THE VACCINE OR OVER ORDER. PHE will aim to ensure that any periods of supply disruption are minimised and will provide regular updates through the ImmForm news items.
