GP VACANCY (0.75 WTE)
Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, patient-centred practice (approximately 10000 patients) close to the Jurassic Coast and with beautiful surrounding countryside.
We are a high achieving training practice based in a Yeovil town centre and working from purpose-built premises.
Whilst committed to a high standard of general practice with continuity of care through personal lists, the practice is also forward thinking and is closely engaged with four other Yeovil practices as part of the Yeovil Primary Care Network.
We see teamwork and quality of life as important attributes of the practice, with morning coffee every day and a Friday Lunch as well as more routine regular partnership/practice meetings. There is also a focus on shared internal workload cover for admin tasks and an open door policy amongst all doctors.
We enjoy informal chats amongst ourselves -both work and non-work related - during the working day and prioritise family life. We are realistic in our expectations and none of us expect to be superman/woman and we all aim to finish work at an acceptable hour!
The practice is looking for an enthusiastic and committed new Partner who will share our ethos of high quality family-based personal care and join our long established and happy Partnership. The vacancy is for up to 8 sessions per week, start date as soon as possible. We would also consider a salaried doctor employment arrangement (with a view to Partnership) for a suitable candidate or a longer term locum. The practice operates using 15 minute appointments and has a well-integrated staff team including nurse practitioners and health coaches.
