Network Clinical Pharmacist - Culm Valley Primary Care Network
We invite applications from motivated clinical pharmacists to be part of our new Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in the Culm Valley and Tiverton areas from 1 July 2019. PCNs are new organisations which will, over time, unite new and existing healthcare professionals alongside traditional General Practices to improve and truly integrate primary care. Our federation of seven GP practices will form into two Primary Care Networks from 01/07/2019, one covering two practices in a market town (Tiverton) and one covering five practices across the Culm Valley and Blackdown Hills including four dispensing practices.
We are looking for innovative and motivated individuals who are keen to explore new opportunities for pharmacists. These roles will be initially focused around the clinical inputs which form part of the contract specification for the PCNs for which, ideally, you would be an independent prescriber. However, these roles are developmental and over time we see the role moving to taking increasingly front line responsibility for patient care and working as part of an integrated primary care team. We are committed to providing support and training as required to develop individuals into these new roles.
The Tiverton and Culm Valley area are ideally situated between Exeter and Taunton with excellent access to picturesque North Devon, the A30/A38 to Cornwall and, for going further afield, the M5 motorway. There are a number of good schools in the area.
