Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Barton Surgery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Prescribing Practitioner to join our well established, hardworking, and dedicated team.

Perfectly located in one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities, Barton Surgery is situated in Plymouth; Britain’s ocean city. Located by a stunning waterfront and harbour, Plymouth boasts dazzling views and a rich history, alongside a wealth of independent shops, galleries and restaurants. This combination gives Plymouth a metropolitan feel.

Devon is a stunning county of great contrasts, with two beautiful coastlines, two national parks and five official Areas of Outstanding Beauty right on our doorstep. It also has excellent transport links and schools. There is a huge amount to offer families and those with a love of the great outdoors.

General practice in Devon is of a high standard, making it a great place to work. Our vision is to deliver high quality healthcare to our patients, by a highly skilled, motivated and constantly improving team, supported in a nurturing work environment.

Barton Surgery is a small PMS practice caring for 3000 patients with a varied demographic. Due to our size, there is a real emphasis on personal care and traditional family doctor values. Due to the combined efforts of our excellent clinical and admin teams we were rated ‘good’ in our latest CQC inspection. Compared to many, our work is low volume which give us the luxury of time and close relationships with those we care for.

We are seeking a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team with general practice experience and prescribing training. Our priority is to find the right person as we continue to develop our services for our patients; the successful candidate will be integral to this.

The role will involve assessment and management of patients; to include a mixture of same day appointments as well as planned appointments and triage on a Monday and Friday morning. We offer a competitive remuneration package.
