Medical Secretary Fixed term to 12 October 2019 in the first instance
Monday to Friday: 37 hours per week
Hourly rate: £9.30 to £10.30 depending on experience
Closing Date: 2nd November 2018
Interview Date: 16th November 2018
We are currently looking for a hardworking, reliable person with excellent attention to detail skills to join our innovative forward thinking team at Frome Medical Centre.
Essential Qualifications:
- Good standard of Education, A level standard desirable
- Experience using Word and Office as well as other computer based information systems
- Experience communicating with a range of people: face to face and on the telephone.
- Enthusiastic team player
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide a supportive secretarial service to the clinical team
- Dealing with patient requests both by phone and face to face
- Expediting appointments / cancelling appointments
- Reporting of test results
- Arranging appointments for secondary care
- Prepare letters to patients regarding results, further blood tests, further tests, treatment
