GP Locum – Millbrook Surgery

We are looking for a self-motivated GP Locum to assist us with maternity leave cover for a period of 6 months. We are offering six sessions per week from week commencing in March 2019. Flexibility is essential and session rates can be discussed.
We are an innovative practice providing place-based patient care to a rural community. Recently winning a BMJ Award for Primary Team Care of the Year, in partnership with the South Somerset GP Federation and Partners for the Symphony Programme. South Somerset is a hub of collaboration; we work closely with our community teams, complex care team, local charities, community groups and patients to deliver a valuable service to our population
Our clinical system is EMIS web and we were the first practice in South Somerset to provide GP access – a system putting GP’s back in the driving seat and improving access for Patient’s. This appointment will be an exceptional opportunity for a forward thinking GP to experience new and efficient ways of working.
Our practice team consists of 4 GP's, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 3 Health Coaches, 1 HCA / Phlebotomist and a team of medical secretaries. We are a team of go-getters and have a vibrant culture and family-feel environment; everyone goes the extra mile to deliver exceptional patient care, with lots of laughter and support along the way.
