Church View Surgery is situated on the beautiful South West coast and offers fantastic opportunities in both your professional and personal life.
The practice is seeking a GP, salaried or partner, to join our team. We are a modern and forward thinking practice, with a hugely supportive and friendly ethos. We are very open to recruiting GPs with family commitments, because as a practice we understand and appreciate the particular pressures that parents face, and we work together as a team to ensure our staff are supported.
We pride ourselves in providing excellent care to just over 12,000 patients in Plymstock, a suburb to the east of Plymouth on the South West coast. We have a “good” CQC rating, and achieved 100% for QOF last year. Our premises are purpose built and partner owned. We train GP Registrars, medical students and student nurses, and are lucky to be situated just 10 minutes’ drive to our local beach and close to Dartmoor National Park.
We are tackling the many challenges facing Primary Care with enthusiasm, good humour and teamwork. The practice particularly understands the need to offer flexible, but reliable, working hours, and we are open to developing a handover system, which could allow GPs with caring responsibilities to handover urgent on the day tasks or follow ups to another doctor in the surgery.
Many of the partners have experienced first-hand the reality of working alongside childcare responsibilities, and we are keen to find ways of working that allow GPs to manage a better work-life balance (including, if desired, the option to take 'workflow' home with you on a practice iPad). It might be that you wish to have a ‘trial period’ to allow you to test your work schedule; or that you have specific hours which you need to work within. We can offer an understanding and supportive team to work in, and would encourage you to contact us for an informal discussion.
We are interested in recruiting a partner or salaried GP to work between 4 and 8 sessions each week.
