Salaried GP – Culverhay Surgery, Wotton under Edge & Berkeley, Gloucestershire

We are looking for an energetic GP who values work-life balance to join our happy team at Culverhay Surgery in Wotton under Edge and Berkeley. Ideally 4 sessions per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays with a flexible start date anytime from now to spring 2022.

We are based over two sites on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, easily accessible from Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

The practice ethos is very much based around continuity of care and good team working to provide excellent, responsive patient care for our 12000 patients. Daily, informal chats are encouraged at our morning coffee break and we have regular clinical meetings. Work life balance is very important to us all.

We would be excited to offer support to applicants who wish to develop their own areas of expertise, and we actively encourage personal development.

Our team consists of 3 partners (1 practice manager partner), 7 salaried GPs, a full skill mix of nurses, including 2 nurse prescribers, a senior clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technicians, care coordinators, social prescriber and practice counsellors. Not forgetting our fantastic reception and admin team who work very hard to minimise administrative burden for the clinical team.

Staff turnover is very low and the practice encourages feedback, to help us create a happy supportive practice environment.

We fair very well in patient surveys, see our latest here:

We are a GP training practice (Severn Deanery) with 2 trainers, soon to be 3. We regularly have ST2s and ST3s. In addition, we are a teaching practice (University of Bristol medical students and UWE/University of Gloucestershire nursing students)

For an informal chat please contact Caroline Pearmain, Managing Partner on 01453 846727 c.pearmain@nhs.net or tweet Dr Mark Porter @drmarkporter
