Salaried General Practitioner (GP) Opportunities - Bridgwater & Taunton
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint innovative General Practitioners across four sites within the primary care service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a salaried role to contribute to shaping new ways of working/models of care, influence the running of their practice, and fully participate in all activities including clinical governance.
As part of our wider alliance you will be given the opportunity to develop specialist skills, develop new care pathways, and influence how primary care interacts with acute and community care. This is a rare opportunity to work at scale within an NHS organisation that is responsible for Primary, Acute and Community Care, across the county.
Working base
We expect most people would prefer a home base; however we are also offering the opportunity for flexibility in sessions across our practices.
Salary
Pro rata, dependent on volume of sessions

The first practice to be managed by Somerset Partnership NHS Trust and part of a newly created Primary Care Directorate formed by Somerset Partnership and Somerset and Taunton NHS Trusts. This is an excellent time for someone to join a developing and innovative practice.

North Petherton Surgery – North Petherton, Bridgwater
North Petherton Surgery is located between Bridgwater and North Petherton. This dispensing practice serves 6500 patients providing all the benefits of modern healthcare whilst maintaining traditional GP values. We are rated Good by the CQC and achieved above CCG average ratings on the recent patient survey.

Our mission is to provide the local community with an excellent level of primary care services, that are sustainable and appropriate, delivered in a safe environment by a well led and responsive healthcare team. Our team is made up of 4 GPs, practice nurses, community psychiatric nurse, MSK practitioner, wellbeing advisor, midwife, district nurse, paramedic practitioners, and practice staff.
