Practice Manager
Dunster & Porlock Surgeries – ideally full time hours (37.5 / week) between 8am – 6.30pm, Monday – Friday; pay negotiable based on prior experience
Based at both Dunster Surgery and Porlock Medical Centre, West Somerset.
We are a growing, rural, dispensing Practice incorporating the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Within a few years we have become one Practice from three, based over two sites. We are looking for a manager who can help us sustain our dream of providing old-fashioned, personalised continuity of care within a sustainable 21st century healthcare environment. Naturally, we are keen to uphold our Outstanding CQC rating. We are a training practice for GP Registrars and Foundation Doctors who are an integral part of our team. We offer LARC services, a minor surgery service and have just been granted the GSF award for Palliative Care provision. We are looking for a dedicated and strong person to guide our highly valued team as we advance into the post-COVID Primary Care world.
The work involves all aspects of management and development of the practice: administrative, clinical, and regulatory. You will be skilled in the management of staff and a calm, caring but firm nature is paramount. A sense of humour is vital.
Excellent communication and IT skills are essential. Knowledge of today’s NHS is desirable but by no means essential. We believe in training and developing our staff, and in return we are looking to recruit an innovative and hardworking person who will rise to the challenge.
Normal practice opening hours for the surgery are 8am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday throughout the year, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
