Experienced Nurse Practitioner – Lister House Surgery

Lister House Surgery in Wiveliscombe, Taunton, Somerset, is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to support the surgery’s urgent care work.

The opportunity: We are seeking a Band 7 Nurse Practitioner to join our existing team of NP’s. Full time hours (37.5) are available but we are willing to consider part time applications (minimum 3 days per week). Monday/Friday working is an essential requirement. You will manage the Practice’s day to day urgent care needs working as part of a duty team, comprising NPs and Duty GP. You will need to have extensive Urgent Care experience in the Primary Care setting, be a confident, safe non-medical prescriber, and see people of all ages and all Urgent Care presentations with minimal supervision.

You must possess excellent triage, assessment and diagnostic skills and have recent experience of working within a first contact setting. You will need to demonstrate excellent clinical management, co-ordination and organisational skills. A Non-Medical Independent prescribing qualification is essential, as is a clinical examination qualification at degree level or above.
