We are the Armada Family Practice and we work from a modern purpose-built health centre in South Bristol with a practice population of 17,000 patients.
Our current clinical team comprises of:
3 Partners, 12 Salaried GPs, 4 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 1 Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, 2 Practice Community Nurses, 2 Practice Pharmacists, 1 Practice Physio, 6 Practice nurses and 3 HCAs.
Our on call team consists of at least 2 GPs and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners – you will never be left alone as the on call doctor!
We are an innovative and forward thinking practice working together with our fellow Health Care Providers to offer our community a multi-disciplinary Health and Social Care service. We are on the board of the Primary Care Network (PCN), the South Bristol Locality Board and the BNSSG GP Federation, One Care.
We have a compact practice area which makes home visiting easy and parking is never an issue. We have secure gated parking at the health centre for cars and bikes.
We are a training practice with 2 GP qualified trainers and therefore we know how important it is to support newly qualified GPs. Also, all our clinicians are allocated a GP Partner mentor to support and advise them.
We meet daily over coffee [and sometimes cakes…] to sign prescriptions, allocate visits and discuss clinical issues. We host regular outside speakers at lunchtime meetings.
We are very democratic and encourage all members of staff to contribute ideas to improve our service to patients. In addition we have an excellent management team with whom we work closely.
We use the EMIS-Web clinical platform and are paper-light. We are a consistently high-achieving PMS practice and were rated “Good” by CQC.
Our 3 partner practice wishes to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join us and to help us create a resilient and sustainable service for the future.
We are 25 minutes from Clifton. A new link road opened recently which aids travel across Bristol, and we are also easily accessible from Bath or North Somerset, so you could choose to live in the city or in the beautiful countryside south of Bristol!
We are flexible with the number of sessions you work and include in our employment package 6 weeks holiday with an additional 1 weeks study leave (all pro rata). We pay a competitive salary and we will pay your GMC fees.
