Ballot Update from GPCE

Last few days remaining for GPC England Ballot: We are at *58.89%* turnout, there are still *2000* GP Partner BMA members who haven’t opened their bmavotes@ces.com email to click their voting link.

Please check junk folders from 17 June, and search to find the email. The non-statutory ballot is only open to BMA GP contractors/partner BMA members, given we can only ballot BMA members. We have therefore created this form for non-GP partners/contractors to sign and show support for our campaign.

Information for GP Partners/Salaried/Locums/Practice Managers

GPC/BMA Collective Action: The BMA launched its ballot to Save General Practice on the 17th June this closes on the 29th July. GPC/BMA have now suggested 10 options that practices can take. The GPC/BMA Collective Action Report is a summary of these. Please take time to review this document and send any questions that you may have to the LMC office. Somerset LMC recognise that taking collective action is very difficult but these actions are aimed at protecting your patients and protecting your GP practices long term. Somerset LMC is aligned with other LMCs within the South West. Our position is that GP Practices must work within the requirements of the GMS contract but collective action is needed to highlight our difficulties.

GPC Patient Information: The BMA has now published the *patient-facing animation video* that they showed during the London roadshow to Youtube here, compete with additional subtitles that can be activated for screen reading. They will also add this to the patient-facing web page.
Please post it on all your practice social media, websites and PPG portals. Share it with friends.
Here is the short link to the GP vision, which was published on Monday morning https://www.bma.org.uk/GPVision

LMC GP Connect Survey: Please spare 2 minutes to complete this short survey which will close on Friday 9th August at 5pm.
