GP Media Campaign The LMC is working with a media company on a campaign to attract GPs into Somerset, this will be launched in full this Sunday 3rd July, and fed through sponsored Facebook feeds with different taglines at varying times of the day focused on three clear demographics, trainee and newly qualified GPs, young family doctors and the the older GPs. This will then drive them to look at a Somerset landing page which has its own branding and links to all the good stuff going on and testimonials from GPs. Apprenticeships It has come to our attention that some practices are modifying the LMC template contract drafted by Porter Dodson to make it applicable to apprenticeships. Porter Dodson are advising us that the template should not be used for these staff as specific rules apply to apprenticeships. We are in discussions with Porter Dodson aimed at providing you with a template apprentice contract. In the meantime, Porter Dodson advises you to seek legal advice before terminating the employment of apprentices because, if done incorrectly, this may result in significant liability to the practice, even within the first 2 years of service.”
