PSU (provider support unit) event 14th July Taunton Racecourse-Save the date The LMC is organising an event for practices to be held at the Racecourse in Taunton on the evening of 14th July to discuss sustainability and joint working, and how the PSU can be a valuable support and resource. Adrian Poole will introduce the set of documents practices are likely to need when exploring collaboration and there will be an opportunity to hear from the LMC, Vanguard and partnership about the alternative forms of joint working. Please save the date, further details with booking information will be sent out in the next week.
Capita I attended a meeting in London this week with other LMCs to discuss the continuing problems with the movement of medical records, Martyn Pritchard (Capita) and Gus Williamson (NHSE) were both present, there was some acknowledgement that the service has not been acceptable, capita are of the view that the supplies issue is resolving and hope it will be fully sorted in 3 months’ time. (I'm sure you will let us know if this is not the case) however, they would not give a timeframe for a resolution re the transfer of records, NHSE did state that they are monitoring the contract closely. Practices who are continuing to experience problems should contact either
Christie Dodge Primary care support England Tel: 07736 492816 c.dodge@nhs.net or
Tammy Jones Regional Liaison Manager for the South West Tammy.Jones@capita.co.uk
Please CC in the LMC Office
Patient queries on the notes of deceased patients or patients no longer registered For relatives of deceased patients or patients who are no longer registered with a GP practice (notes in storage) the patient should go through to the Access Request Team.
