Standard NHS Contract for CCG Enhanced Services
Practices will have received a copy of the updated Standard Contract from the CCG that relates to the provision of CCG enhanced services during 2016-17, with a request that it be signed and returned. The LMC is happy that it is safe for you to do so.
The contract runs for three years, of which this is the second, so practices have already agreed to the terms and conditions and this version mainly changes the dates and makes some other clarifications. The CCG has also helpfully included some information about the relevance of some sections to primary care providers. NHSE has now issued a simplified Standard Contract that is much more appropriate, and we anticipate that this will adopted when the current three year term ends.
There is an existing requirement in the contract to undertake a Carers Survey and the LMC will be discussing with the CCG how this can be made a useful exercise without being unreasonably demanding
New to Practice Nursing Course
As a number of Practices showed interest in the New to Practice Nursing Course, we have decided to run this 3 day course on the 13th-15th September this year at East Quay Medical Centre, Bridgwater.
This course has been RCN Accredited.
As previously explained, costs for this are over and above the funding available under the education trust umbrella, so there will be a charge per nurse of £750. To view the programme for all three days, or to book a place, please use the link to our website.
SGPET: BLS Update
SGPET are running as session on Thursday 23 June, 19.00 at The Hankridge Arms, Taunton for Sessional/Locum GPs however we have 5 places available, please book online or let Erica at SGPET know.
