We Know That... following on from the "did you know" poster for practices we have now put together a further poster regarding the shortage of appointments, this can be downloaded here (or why not view on the new App!)

And finally...

Hello, we are Rosie and Peter, two 4th year medical students from Leeds undertaking a small research project investigating the sock and hosiery wearing habits of GPs in the UK and the implications this has for the "Green Socks Clause" in partnership agreements.

Background: Many partnership agreements include a legal caveat called “The Green Sock Clause”. This enables a partner to be expelled from the partnership without giving a reason other than they were wearing green socks. Very little research has been carried out looking at the sock wearing habits of General Practitioners. Being able to understand better the choices GPs make regarding their sock and hosiery selections may help to determine specific groups of GPs at risk of dismissal. This study aims to collect data from the three main groups of GPs; partners, salaried and registrars.

The project is approved by the University of Leeds, School of Medicine and is being supervised by Dr Neil Metcalfe. If you have any questions about the project we will be happy to supply you with further information.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our short questionnaire and helping us with our project.
