Provider Support Unit At the LMC Study Day in May, and more recently in the LMC Roadshows on this subject, there was a strong message from Practices that many were looking at ways of working together more closely. ‘Collaboration’ seems to be a frequently heard word at the moment, and this may be one way that Practices can manage the many challenges facing us at this time. Have You Had Any Problems With Medical Indemnity Insurance? The LMC has been asked to gather examples of problems or concerns that GPs have with their medical indemnity cover. Apart from the inexorable rise in “normal” premiums we are aware that GPs have sometimes been asked to pay significantly more if they undertake any roles that extend beyond routine daytime GMS work, have been out of practice for any reason, or have a claim history.
