Community Dermatology Service: The CCG would be interested in hearing from any GP who has, or would like to develop an interest in supporting the community dermatology service in Somerset. Work is currently being done to redesign the service in the light of the new ICS model across the country. They are keen to discuss options with anyone who is currently working in practice at least 2 sessions a week. Previous diplomas in dermatology are at this point not a prerequisite as support may be available for the training up of clinicians for a future community service. If you have previously expressed an interest, or are considering this for the first time, please email Dr Jon Upton jon.upton@nhs.net

The scope of practice is similar to that seen in Primary Care Specialist Paramedics. They are now looking for three further placements in general practice, all the detail including remuneration can be found here, if this is of interest please contact Lily Dixon, BNSSG Training Hub Primary Care Development and Paramedic Lead – lily.dixon2@nhs.net who is coordinating the placements.
Management of Hyperemesis Gravidarum in Primary Care Survey: Dr Megan Spearman a Junior Doctor working at Yeovil District Hospital and her team are working on a QI project regarding the management of Hyperemesis Gravidarum in Primary Care. They are aiming to reduce the number of ED visits and make GP lives easier by developing a more GP and patient friendly pathway. They have created a brief survey on this topic and would be grateful if GPs could complete it, please feel free to add any comments which would make lives easier in Primary Care.
Kind regards
