An Essential Update about First Contact Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Practice in primary care. Live on line webinar Thursday February 4th 2021. 1.00-2.30 An invitation to all GP employers, practice managers and PCN managers. The numbers of new role clinicians have increased a lot under ARRS and with the increase have come new national requirements re roles, training, supervision and support. The guidance runs to over 100 pages so this 1 1/2 hour webinar is essential.
- NHS Patient Webinars a very useful resource, mainly to give to patients, but also interesting for practitioners. Patient Webinars is an award-winning website set up by a local team to deliver patient anytime webinars. Initially these were on IBS, FODMAP diets and related topics. However, they have just added some webinars on COPD. There are several other topics including COVID, and more to come. Patients can access them anytime - you can ‘refer’ the patient to them. With the dietician ones there is then a link for patients to self-refer to a specialist if they are still needing help despite the advice.
