Rag status survey: The pressures facing the Acute Trusts are well publicised and captured by the OPEL Framework. General Practice has had no equivalent and so it is easy for Government, patients and other Health Care providers to assume that things are not so bad in your part of the Primary Care system.
Devon LMC has designed this simple GP Alert State which we have adapted and relies on a weekly return from Practices who are asked to report their Alert Status and locality. The returns are anonymous so are reliant upon honest and accurate self assessment against the criterion set out below. Practices will be sent a survey link to this page on the Friday update, the survey will be open for TWO working days and is simple and quick to complete (only 3 key presses). Please can we have your responses back by the end of Monday PM. We recommend that the Practice Manager and a nominated GP agree the alert state before the PM completes the form. Every Tuesday PM/Wednesday AM the LMC will publish a Somerset wide and Locality Alert Status to Practices, the CCG, Acute Trusts, Mental Health Trusts, SWAST, Local Authorities and NHSE.
Practices Please Note: If at Red or Black - you may want to contact the LMC to see what support might be available. All data collected is anonymous.
Please follow this link for the Rag rating guide and this link to the survey monkey.
Coronavirus guidance: The BMA has published a web page highlighting key information and links to official guidance from government agencies on coronavirus, including how to handle queries from patients and how to manage patients who contact or attend GP practices.
Performers list: We have been made aware that there are still some anomalies on the performers list with GPs either attached to the wrong area or practice, we would therefore suggest that all GPs check their details are correct and if not raise with PCSE.
Top Tip...
Pension Forms and PCSE: A lot of practices have reported problems in uploading the forms to the PCSE website as the files are too large, if you follow these simple instructions it will resolve this issue.
Kind Regards
Jill
